Pelosi: Children Are a Burdern

My mom brought this video clip to my attention (thanks, mom!), and while it's no surprise, it is so blatant and comes with "no apologies", I thought it deserved some attention.

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, stated out loud what many of us already knew - that the vast majority of liberals (and, unfortunately, a lot of conservatives, too) are socialists who believe children are burdens.

It's so clear liberals are anti-children. They kill them, via abortion. Here we see Pelosi talking about saving money by having fewer children. When someone is in rebellion against God, as most people in our country (world!) are, they tend to take it out on the innocent.

First of all, it's PEOPLE that provide the revenue for the government - hello? Where else does Ms. Pelosi think they get their tax money?? People are an asset to a nation. But socialists see people as burdens, liabilities - just something they have to feed. To be so bold as to suggest that the stimulus package should provide money for birth control, so we'll have fewer children, so the States will have more money!? Short-sighted, ignorant and WICKED!! And no apologies.

Here's a lesson in Economics: 101, Ms. Pelosi!

Fewer children now =
- fewer tax-payers later

- fewer people in the workforce

- fewer people spending money to keep the economy rolling

It's not rocket science! In Japan, corporations are sending their employees home early so they can reproduce, because their birth rate is so low (1.4), they're not even replacing their own population! They have a DYING NATION. That's what happens! America is committing national suicide with it's daily murder rate of 3,300 innocent unborn children.

Liberals are anti-child because we are created in God's image, and they are anti-God. They will protect a goose egg, but not an unborn human being.

Government Set to Bail Out the Abortion Industry

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- On the first day of the new session of Congress, the leader of the Senate filed a bill that sends millions of dollars to the nation's largest abortion business. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is the lead sponsor of the pro-abortion Prevention First Act, S. 21, that will be strongly opposed by pro-life groups.

The bill would prohibit health insurance plans from excluding coverage for birth control drugs and devices.

It would also require the federal Health Department to provide information on the morning after pill to all health care providers. Hospitals that receive any federal funds would be forced to give out the drug, which can sometimes cause an abortion, to women who have been raped.
But it is the bailout of the abortion industry that most concerns Tony Perkins, the president of the Family Research Council.

"Reid sent a very clear message about what pro-lifers can expect from the next two years by introducing [the bill]," Perkins told LifeNews.com. "The Prevention First Act would direct hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to the abortion industry, a business that already receives over $286 million each year from federal taxpayers."

Here we go! The most pro-abortion President in our country's history has plenty of men and women on his side. Pro-lifers, it's time to wake up and arm for the battle for the unborn!

Taking Comfort in the Warnings of Jesus

With the new year of 2009 beginning, there is a fresh start. A new year brings with it many new things - new opportunities, new people in your life. But sometimes there are opportunities that are not new, but that can be responded to with new light.

Last year, and previous years, have brought quite a few moral mishaps to my attention concerning people close to me - both in proximity and in relationship. It is never easy to speak the Truth, but Jesus did it, and He commanded His followers to do likewise.

As I look to the year ahead, my hope and prayer - my hopeful prayer (knowing God IS mighty and FREE and ABLE to change peoples' hardened hearts) - is that I, and others who call them by His namesake, will be strong to follow Him and His word, and to love those around me enough to continue to speak the TRUTH.

It is, of course, never an intention to cause division. But we, as believers, can take comfort in Jesus' words - that where Truth is spoken, division is inevitible, because people do not LIKE to hear the TRUTH (unfortunatley, this is true of both believers and unbelievers, I can say from experience).

Jesus Christ promised his followers, "You will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. And then many will be offended." (Matt. 24:9-10)

Jesus further warned his disciples, "Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law" (Luke 12:51-53)
