None of the Above

We have been reading a new book this year, in preparation for this year's Presidential election. Brian and I both have found the information to be very eye opening. None of the Above is a serious book, detailing how America got into the political mess in which we find ourselves--with two major-party candidates that are completely inadequate to run our nation--and explains what we must do in this upcoming election if we are going to reverse the downhill trend of what once was the greatest nation in the world.

Anyone who loves this country ought to read None of the Above in the next few weeks before the 2008 election, and consider seriously what Joseph Farah, editor for WorldNetDaily.com, has to say. He thoroughly details the incredible flaws in both Barack Obama and John McCain; the flaws in both the Democratic and Republican parties. And gives some thought provoking solutions that are real and attainable, if only enough Americans would arm themselves with knowledge and cosideration, foresight and courage.

A few excerpts from None of the Above by Joseph Farah (bold emphasis added by me) :

"Citizens who consider themselves accountable to God first and who uphold the Constitution as the law of the land in America--must oppose any and all politicians who won't strictly adhere to that law. There can be no ifs, ands, or buts about this. You can't vote for the lesser of two evils because that is still voting for evil. It's better not to participate in evil at all.

"...Many Americans have grown convinced they have a sacred obligation to vote--even if it means pulling the lever for an unqualified, hyperambitious dolt who wouldn't know the Constitution if he wiped his feet on it.

"You will hear that failure to vote for one of the two major-party candidates in any election is tantamount to "throwing your vote away.". I say voting for an illegitimate and unworthy candidate--one who will not live under the rule of law and abide by the Constitution as a minimal standard--is throwing your vote away.

"If you don't have a choice you can truly respect, don't vote. Don't pretend you havea choice. Don't dignify a corrupt system with your participation in a charade. Don't add legitimacy to an illegitimate process.

"...Where are the politicians today promoting self-reliance, personal responsibility, and self-government? Where are the politicians committed in their hearts, souls, and minds to the constitutional principle of limited government and enumerated powers?

"There are none running for president this year--at least, not as the nominee of one of the two major parties. So don't vote for either one. It's just that simple. To vote for either John McCain or Barack Obama would be a betrayal--by you--of the Constitution. Say no. Say "none of the above". Vote third party. Write in your favorite candidate.

"I am not, by the way, advocating staying home from the polls this year. I am advocating using real discernment and judgment. I am telling you not to be one of the lemmings who charge off the cliff because everyone else is going in that direction."

Thanks for the link. I have to agree, it is shameful the way Christians are willing to vote for evil, and try to justify it by saying it's the lesser.

Being willing to vote for an evil person to lead this country, just because the other guy is "worse" is a poor excuse and I don't think it will fly when those Christians give an account on judgement day!

Thanks for the link!
